International Forum on 2007 Corperate Social Responsibility in China was held solumely in Beijing on June 29 ， 2007, jointly sponsored by the China Enterprise Confederation (CFC), the United Nations Development Programme （ UNDP ） and CICETE. With the theme of “ Innovative Practice, Jointly-built Harmony ” , the forum probed deeply into the principles of Global Compact, the implementation of corperate social responsiblities and the improvement of corperate competitive ability, the extensive promotion of China corperate social responsiblities for positive contirbutions to the building-up of a harmonious society.

Mr. Zhao Zhongyi, Deputy Director General of CICETE attended the openning ceremony and delivered a speech. He said in the speech that the forum is designed to combine Chinese traditional culture with modern commercial culture so as to advocate the enterprises to integrate the core value of social responsibility into the corperate development. By introducing how to combine the principles of Global Compact with enterprises ' strategy, the forum is served as a platform for enterprises to discuss how to enhance their competiveness, to strengthen the public – private partnership and to contribute to the building-up of a harmonious society.

Mr. Chen Jinhua, Chairmen of CEC and UNDP Resident Representative Mr. Khalid Marlic attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Over 400 participants from government sectors, business communities and press circles from home and abroad were present at the forum.
