Mr. Wang Yue, Director General of CICETE, together with Mr. Zhou Jianzhong and others from the State Customs Administration paid a visit to Yunan, Kunming Customs Administration and two subordinate offices, Lijiang Customs and Diqing Customs, to be specific, from 11th to 17th, July. During this visit, the delegation aimed to review: 1. legal building (including legislation and law enforcement) in China's Customs Administration; 2. the application of a Customs automation data system on the import and export of cargo and personnel management and joint port development between Customs department and local government; 3. cooperation between customs administration and companies in western part of China and the building of a dispute settlement mechanism.

　　 During the visit, the delegation held talks with local customs departments and enterprises representatives. The talks reveal that China Customs is implementing the project activities according to the work plan with the anticipated objectives obtained. In the context of the big increase of import and export cargo and more people going through the customs in western part of China (e.g. Yunan province), the Customs efficiency has been greatly improved and cost reduced at a great margin. At the same time, the increasingly more transparent "sunshine project" (publicity, policy release and online communication) has greatly promoted the growth of local companies and accelerated social progress.
