Workshop on Information and Communication Technology for Science Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development in China was successfully held in Beihai City, Guangxi Autonomous Region. Mr. Wang Yue, Director General of CICETE attended the workshop and chaired the closing ceremony. Mr. Liu Yanhua, Minister of Science and Technology and Mr. Subinay Nandy, National Director of UNDP China were present at the workshop. Over 100 participants from governments and related enterprises attended the workshop. All parties of the project “China Rural Science Poverty Alleviation and Exploration on Lasting Effect Mechanism” (CPR/06/408) summed up the first-phase work and discussed on the future development of rural service system in science and technology in China.
