Mr. Zhao Zhongyi, Deputy Director-general of CICETE, attended the opening ceremony of Leadership Development Training for the Minority Cadres and delivered a speech on behalf of CICETE and UNDP on 8 January 2008. The training is an important activity under the China-UNDP cooperated programme “Poverty Reduction for Ethnic Minorities in China”. In his speech, he emphasized that the training is very important in improving the capacity of the cadres, and also puts the thoughts of Seventeenth National Congress of CPC thoroughly into thorough action.
The training lasted ten days. After the in-room classes, the participants were organized to visit Yiwu city and Huaxi village to learn the local advanced experiences.
