In the afternoon of December 11, 2007, Vietnam Ministry of Labor Invalids and Social Affairs delegation of 14 people, led by Mr. Dam Huu Dac, deputy minister of the ministry, paid CICETE a visit to learn about the management and implementation of UNDP's poverty alleviation programs. During the afternoon, Mr. Wang Yue, Director General of CICETE, welcomed the delegation and introduced the overall programs executed by CICETE in recent years. Division III of CICETE introduced the poverty relief programs. As he introduced, Division III is looking for new cooperative methods and ways to combine poverty alleviation projects with other programs in areas of environmental protection and energy savings, to solve the issues concerning agriculture, rural area and farmers. The delegation also learned the operation of microcredit in China, the area in which CICETE has input great efforts.
