Mme. Wang Weili , Deputy Director General of CICETE joined in the meeting with Mr. Chen Zhi, Chairman of Board, Yunnan Metallurgical Group and Mme. Alessandra Tisot, Sr. Deputy Resident Representative on September 19-20, 2007. Three parties had an in-depth discussion on the establishment of collaborative partnership between UNDP and CYMG, and reached agreement on developing CSR and sustainable development projects within the framework of UNDP/CYMG collaborative partnership. CYMG will input RMB 100 million to UNDP/CYMG projects as the third party cost-sharing which will be implemented by CICETE. The first phase of the project “Poverty Alleviation and Environment Protection thru JLC Planting in Wenshan Prefecture " will be moving forward to formulation stage.

Prior to the meeting, Mme. Wang Weili visited Yunnan Aluminum Co., Ltd. The mission team also visited Wenshan Prefecture and had a meeting with local government on the design of the said project.
