Deputy Director General Zhao Attended 2010 China Volunteering Expo

5 December 2010, Beijing - To celebrate the International Volunteer Day (Dec. 5), 2010 China Volunteering Expo was held in Beijing Normal University. Mr. Subinay, Country Director of UNDP attended the forum and read the congratulatory letter written by Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations. CICETE Deputy Director General Zhao Zhongyi was also invited to the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. More than two hundred people from the government, international organizations, NGOs, volunteering organizations, media, colleges and academies join the forum.

This forum was the very first China Volunteering Expo, which was of great importance. It provided an international platform for national and international people who care for China’s volunteering service development, to exchange ideas and share information. It also offered volunteer service organizations an opportunity to show themselves and spread the impact.
