26 January 2010, Chengdu – CICETE Deputy Director General Mme. Wang Weili attended the Joint Annual Review Meeting of Umbrella Programme of Post Wenchuan Earthquake Early Recovery and Disaster Management held in Chengdu and delivered opening remarks on behalf of CICETE. In her opening remarks, she emphasized project significance in post-earth recovery and expressed thanks for UNDP and donor countries’ contribution. She also wished the sharing the lessons and experience gained in the progress of earthquake relief and recovery with international communities. UNDP Country Directors, Officials from Embassies of Canada, UK, Norway and Saudi Arabia and representatives of the MWRs, LGOP and other line ministries attended the meeting. On-site visits to Mianyang, Beichuan and Wudu were dispatched after the review meeting.
